A trade office built for the corridor
Mex Clearing House is a small, deliberate operation in Tucson, Arizona. We exist for one purpose: to make cross-border shipments through the Arizona–Sonora corridor complete, documented, and on time.
The office
We work from 11730 N Diamond Cholla Pl in northern Tucson, close to the interstates that feed the border crossings and close enough to the line to understand its rhythms. Tucson sits at the hinge of the Arizona–Sonora corridor, and that is not a coincidence. The office was placed here because this is where the paperwork, the trucks, and the questions actually meet.
Mex Clearing House is a trade facilitation office. We support shippers, importers, exporters, and small manufacturers with customs documentation, freight and shipment coordination, compliance guidance, and the records that tie a shipment together from intake to release. We work alongside licensed customs brokers and carriers — never in place of them. Where a licensed filing or a bonded movement is required, it is handled by the licensed parties, and our job is to make sure they receive everything they need, complete and on time.
The office is intentionally small. Files move across one desk, not through layers. When you call, you reach someone who knows the shipment you are calling about.
Principal
The office is led by Carolyn Star Hinman, Principal. Carolyn runs Mex Clearing House the way it was designed to be run: precisely, personally, and on the record. She takes the first call on new shipments, reviews the document sets herself, and closes out every file. If there is a problem with a load, she is the one who tells you about it — plainly, and with a plan attached.
Her working philosophy is simple. Cross-border trade does not fail because of bad intentions; it fails because of missing pages, late confirmations, and assumptions that nobody checked. Remove those, and most shipments move without drama. That is the service this office provides.
How we work

- One voice to the brokers and carriers You get a single point of contact relaying status and requests, so nothing is said twice and nothing is missed.
- Know our lane We work the Arizona–Sonora corridor because we know it. If your shipment belongs to a different geography, we will say so and point you toward the right help.
- Close every file A shipment is not finished when the load clears. It is finished when the record is complete and in your hands.
